Hello everyone,

“Writing in English at University” from Lund University is the second MOOC course I have enrolled. This is very helpful course for the students. In this blog I have shared my experience of learning and some points which I have learned.

In Week 1, First teachers have given basic information about academic writing. In the introductory video, all the three teachers have introduced themselves.

They teach English at Lund University. They have divided four weeks in four module of learning. (click on the weeks for detailed information)

Week 1 – Basics of academic writing (Writing in English at University)

Week 2 – Structuring text and argument

Week 3 – Reading and using secondary sources in writing

Week 4 – The writer’s “Tool Box” - different tricks and tips of being a
                  Better writer (editing and proofreading)

This course is all about “process writing”. In the course, teachers have introduced three parts of writing in University.

These are the three levels of writing and at university level student should be aware with these skills. For the material of course, teachers have recommended AWELU website – Academic Writing in English at Lund University.
Here is the information about teachers:

I have decided to enroll this course to improve my writing skills. I have sent my assignment as an essay to the website of Gradesaver. They have appreciated the Topic and content but they have suggested me to improve my organization of content and style of writing.
