Process of
Communication:
The process of communication involves decisions and activities by the
two people involved, the sender and the receiver.
The sender begins the process of communication. The sender has to be
clear about the purpose (or goal or objective) of the communication and about
the target audience (Or receiver) of the communication; that is, the sender
decides why and to whom to send a message. Conscious or intended communication
has a purpose. We communicate because we want someone to do something or think
or feel in a certain way, that is, to influence the person.
There are five basic elements:
1. Sender/encoder/speaker
2. Message
3. Mediums
4. Channels
5. Receiver/ Decoder/ Listener
6. Feedback
It is necessary to understand the relationship between the sender and
receiver when communication takes place. The process demands that both the
sender and the receiver pay attention to the finer aspects or elements of
successful communication.
A communication process follows the following steps:
- There is a sender
- The sender has an idea
- The sender encodes the idea into a message
- The message travel through the channel
- Noise in the transmission process
- The receiver gets the message
- The receiver decodes the message
- The receiver gives the feedback
For the effective process of communication, there should be a
well-defined goal in the mind of the sender. There should be a harmony between
the goals of two communicators, and that makes the process of communication
more effective. In all the situations, sender should necessarily keep in mind
some points,
- Create awareness in the mind of the receiver on
the topic
- Present his point of view with clarity and
preciseness so it can avoid confusion in the mind of the receiver.
- Achieve the goal of communication.
Conclusion

communication depends on the proper communication process. All the members in
the organization will learn the proper communication system if they follow the
communication process, by that they can easily stay away from the barriers of
