Written communication:
1. Merits/advantages:
- It is accurate and precise
- It has a record
- It is a legal document.
- It assigns the responsibilities
- It has wide access
2. Demerits/ disadvantages/ limitations:
- It is time consuming
- Expensive
- There is not quick respond
- It increases workload.
- Information may get distorted.
Oral communication:
1. Merits/ advantages:
- saves time
- Not expensive
- Information do not get distorted
- Quick respond/ immediate feedback
2. Demerits/ disadvantages:
- Responsibility cannot be fixed
- No proof/ record for future reference
- Information may get leaked
- Not reliable
- Incomplete information
- No legal validity
